Position: SQL Database Administrator

WebEquity is actively searching for a SQL Database Administrator. In this role, you will:
- Provide support for production, development, and test database systems
- Implement databases with respect to the organization, access methods and documentation
- Analyze application database performance and make on-going adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Follow best practices to ensure application database security including regular reviews and adjustments to ensure access and modification only by authorized users and / or application
- Implement procedures to ensure database tuning, capacity and future capacity planning
- Develop and applying procedures for regular database backup; inclusive of method and backup frequency
- Maintain database replication and automation tools
- Pro-actively identify areas of degraded service levels and recommend and implement adjustments to stabilize / optimize database systems
- Provide 24x7 on-call support
Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited institution required
- Minimum 3-years experience with SQL Server DBA (2005 / 2008)
- Skill set specific to front-end web application programming that includes ASP.Net, C#, and SQL languages
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Services 2008 (Reporting Services Designer, Report Builder v1.0/2.0, Report Modeler)
- Preferred experience with MS OLAP and Analytic Reporting, SharePoint/ Reporting Service Dashboard Integration, OLAP Data Modeling and MDX/DMX Development
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Financial experience/knowledge beneficial
- Highly analytical; able to successfully troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Exemplary organizational and follow-up skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Customer-focused, positive attitude required
